  • Determine Mechanical codes and regulations for the jurisdiction in which you are working and pull necessary permits

Day in the Life of a Drain Technician
  • Diagnose and repair residential drain systems
  • Communicate with customers in terms that can be understood
  • Inspect drain lines with camera to identify drainage issues
  • Inspect and test plumbing and drainage systems for safety, functionality, and water quality
  • Clear clogs using snakes, high-velocity water jets, and sewer cameras
  • Detect corrosion, construction defects, ground movement, and other flaws in a drainage system
  • Check for leaks to make sure there is a continuous flow in the pipeline
  • Any other duties needed to help drive our vision and fulfill our mission, while abiding by the JH core values
What We Need
  • Basic knowledge of how a plumbing system works
  • Be able to remove and reset a toilet and a p-trap
  • Lift 175 pounds with the assistance of a dolly
